WHAT IS OUR JEWELLERY MADE OF?

STERLING SILVER

We use solid sterling silver (925).

Our sterling silver is made of 92.5% pure silver plus 7.5% alloy to limit the risk of breakage and damage, whilst keeping the piece of high quality.

GOLD VERMEIL & ROSE GOLD VERMEIL

Not to be confused with regular gold plating, our vermeil is a thick layer of 18k solid gold on sterling silver meaning it will last longer. You get the look & feel of gold jewelry at a fraction of the price.

Please note that as with all vermeil jewellery, the top metal will wear away over time. You may like to get your favourite pieces recoated every few years.

14K SOLID GOLD

By request we can create any of our pieces in solid 14k gold.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY JEWELLERY?

Sterling Silver or Solid Gold pieces can be cleaned with your complimentary polishing cloth and/or a jewellery cleansing solution.

Gold Vermeil pieces can be cleaned very gently with a soft dry polishing cloth.

CAN I SWIM OR SHOWER WITH MY JEWELLERY ON?

We’re so bad at taking our jewellery off prior to a shower or jumping in the waves, but we do recommend that if you would like to keep your pieces as sparkly and fresh for as long as possible, to take them off first. Contact with chlorine and salt will wear away at the plating.

CAN I EXERCISE WITH MY JEWELLERY ON?

We’re ashamed to admit that we turn up to our Yoga mat with our jewellery on, but we do recommend taking our pieces off first as our nourishing sweat can damage the plating of your pieces and make them lose their sparkle quicker than you may like. (Not to mention the amount of times we’ve hooked our delicate necklace under our chin in Adho Mukha Svanasana (down dog) and then snapped the chain when we step through into a low lunge and pull the chain with our chin as we look up)!

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD CONSIDER TO KEEP MY JEWELLERY LOOKING ITS BEST?

Along with not wearing your vermeil jewellery in the shower, when swimming or when working out, we also recommend removing it prior to washing your hands, applying beauty products or lotion, spraying perfume, sleeping, and of course handling chemicals. All of these things will simply wear down the plating of vermeil pieces. We also reccomend keeping all jewellery in it's organic cotton pouch to prevent scratching, and if you'd like to go the extra mile, inlcude an anti tarnish pouch.
